my birthday gift from cory....

ok, i really thought cory had dropped the ball regarding my birthday....boy was i wrong! he surprised me with a wonderful night out (just the two of us....thanks grammy and poppy!) with dinner (RESERVATIONS!!!!) at pf changs (another favorite of mine) and a trip to the apple store to buy me an ipod! he also let me do a little shopping! it was very nice. thanks cory for a wonderful birthday! i love you with all my heart!

...now i just have to figure out how to use this ipod!!!

goodbye 20's......

.....hello 30! today i turned the big 3-0. my goodness...i can't believe i'm that old....my parents can't either. i woke up this morning not in a good mood. it's just kinda depressing....no more young and hip, no more "yeah, i'm in my 20's". but, as the day went on, the more luke sang me "happy birthday", the more phone calls i got, the more messages i got, and the more cards i got, i got to thinking....hummm...maybe 30 isn't going to be so bad. thinking about all i did in my 20's....stopped dating (thank goodness!!), settled down and got married, got educated (more), had a baby, built a house....WOW...what a decade. i think i really realized who i was when i was in my 20's. now on to 30...so much life to look forward to. God has truly blessed me and i am so thankful He is in my life. i have an awesome husband who i absolutely love with all my heart, i have a wonderful son who is the light of my life and a loving family that i really enjoy spending lots and lots of time with. what more can a woman ask for (yes, woman, not girl!!).
so, thanks to everyone who made my birthday special. i love you all!

golf pro

i got luke this little golf club set not too long ago and he has absolutely loved it (maybe because cory has a golf club set in the garage??). so, just happen to turn the tv on sunday and golf was on. luke ran into the play room and got those golf clubs....

he's actually pretty good....

just gotta get that stance right!

t-ball.....

dawson and sydney were outside practing for t-ball yesterday. this so puts me in the mood for spring!! can't wait for opening day!

i finally got one!

some of you are going to think i'm a big dork...but, i've always wanted a dust buster. as most of you know, i am a complete neat freak!! this just helps get the "luke messes" up a little easier!! (by the way, it works GREAT!)

ok....i've been keep up with alot of bloggers lately....so i decided to start one myself! i guess being a somewhat stay at home mom to a 2 year old...there are things that always strike me as being funny...so i guess i just want to share some of them now!

my name is sabrina mcelyea. i am married to a wonderful man, cory. we have been married for almost 6 years. we have one son, luke, who is 2. all boy!!! he is the light of our lives. we live in the wonderful town of athens, al. i work 2 days a week at alabama pediatric dental assoc. in madison. i love my job!!
