Lukes starts Kindergarten

Well, it's here...a day that I really haven't been looking forward to in 6 years...well, for that matter, have even really thought about until this past week or so.  Man, Kindergarten already?  I tear up as I type this post.  Luke is ready, that's all that matters.  Luke is such a loving, caring little boy.  He gets his feelings hurt easy...but is a tough one!  Tries to hold it in when he gets hurt!  Am I ready to release him to the "world"...ummm, no.  If I could bubble my kiddos, I would.  But have we put him in a bubble the past almost 6 years.  No.   I know that Luke and Allie will learn the most from me and Cory.  We teach our children to follow the Lord.  And, I know that they both will be exposed to kids/adults that don't believe what we believe.  I pray daily that God will look over our children and keep them from harm.  And as Luke starts Kindergarten, it really hits me that we have to continue to teach him daily what God wants him to be.
Luke, I hope your first day of school is everything you want it to be!!
We love you to the moon and back!

He's not a morning person....at all!  He gets it honest from me!

Eating sausage balls (his request) with Allie

 Getting ready to go inside...

Mom and dad have one last peek at him....such a big boy!

Allie's favorite outfit

Her polka dot skirt (sometimes called a sweater) and her
Minnie shirt....add some crazy hair and you've got Allie's favorite outfit.
Here she is blowing bubbles outside in her favorite outfit....

Luke's letter to the Tooth Fairy....

Luke had 2 more teeth pulled on Thursday.  (Thanks APDA).  But, Thursday night was Luke's special pallet night (special treat where he gets to sleep in our floor...he LOVES it!).  So, we decided it would be a good idea to leave the tooth fairy a note to let her know where Luke was....

Children's Discovery museum

We decided to have one more "Hoo-Rah" before school starts (where has summer gone??).  We took the kids to Chatanooga, TN for a visit to the Children's Discovery museum yesterday.  They LOVED it.  We were going to go to the aquarium as well, but, the kids didn't want to leave this place.  (I forgot my camera, so these pictures were taken with my iPhone....thank goodness for technology!).

Also stopped in for some good 'ol Ben and Jerry's....couldn't resist!

Kiddie Carnival August 2012

We helped Kinley celebrate her 5th birthday July 30th with a party at the Kiddie Carnival.  We always enjoy going to the Kiddie Carnival.  It's like a tradition.  But, we are horrible parents....we wait for a private party/gathering to take our kids!  Usually it's so crowded on the weekends....and we just aren't up for that!  So, we were tickled when Kinley wanted to have her party there!

Happy 60th Sherry!

Last Thursday we celebrated my mother-in-law's 60th with a surprise party at 306 BBQ.  As you can see by the pictures....she had no idea (SEE PHOTO #1)!
