24 1/2 weeks....FAILED GLUCOSE TEST!

ok, so this pregnancy is FLYING by!!! wow, i'm already over 24 weeks. this baby girl will be here before we know it. the rest of the bedding came in yesterday. bedskirt is pressed and on the crib.
i went for the good ol' glucose test today......failed it....SHOCKER! i failed the first one when i was prego with luke, too. so, i guess tomorrow my morning will consist of a 3 HOUR GLUCOSE INTOLERANCE TEST at the medical mall. yay. as you can tell, i am jumping for joy. when i did the 2nd test with luke, i was in the hospital (one of many hospital trips), so at least i got to rest and watch some tv in between blood draws.
so, if you're reading this, here's one request from me........pray that i pass tomorrow's sugar test!

beanie baby CRAZY!

sydney has been collecting beanie babies to donate to the Children's Harbor at UAB children's hospital for about a month now. well, we delivered over 3,000 beanies on tuesday. the people there were so happy to see them. why beanie babies, you ask?? well, there is a "claw" machine (you know, the ones at wal-mart, chuck-e-cheese, etc, that you can NEVER win anything out of) at the harbor that the kids get to play, FOR FREE, and they have beanie babies in it. well, with this claw machine, kids ACTUALLY win!

here are just a few shots of the action on tuesday....by the way, that was her LAST RADIATION treatment, also! yay for sydney!

way to go syd! we are so proud of your strength and courage!

benefit for sydney

i know....been a little slacking on the blogging, but we've been super busy. yesterday was sydney's benefit at johnson elementary school. silent auction, bake sale, car wash and chicken plate lunches....ALL IN 1 DAY! cory and i have been super busy with the silent auction items here at our house for the past 2-3 weeks. we had so many things donated from everywhere; athens, huntsville, decatur...you name it. nick saban sent us a signed football, paula deen signed a cookbook, and rick and bubba sent us lots of things. if you missed this event, you missed out big time! i've never been so touched by one community. we may live in the "country", but i am so proud to be a part of it. yesterday showed how awesome everyone can pull together for such an awesome cause. there were TONS of people there just to be there for cynthia, jamie, dawson and especially sydney. they even arrived in a stretch excursion LIMO....oh yeah, sydney got to arrive in style!
here is the clip from last night's news channel 19.

thanks to everyone that came out to support our family. our hearts were touched greatly!

happy 4th of july 2009!!

we had a wonderful 4th this year. thank God that sydney felt good enough to come out and shoot some fireworks. luke was much more brave this year with the "fire", so we had to watch him like a hawk!! cory and jamie were the pyrotechnics this year and shot the "big" fireworks...well, pretty fireworks. we have so much to be thankful for this 4th of july, not only am i thankful for living in the country that i do, but i am so thankful to be a part of such a wonderful and blessed family. luke got to hold a sparkler by himself (for a milisecond!)

dawson and logan lighting up some sparklers!

getting ready for baby allie!

we started painting allie's nursery yesterday. she'll be here before we know it. luke had fun helping out!
