Allie's first dental visit

Allie had her first dental visit today at my work....Alabama Pediatric Dental Assoc.  and no, mommy doesn't clean her kids' teeth!  I let the other girls do it!  I only clean their teeth at home.
Anyhow, Allie did pretty good.  A little drama, but all is well!

  1. The picture of your daughter's first dentist visit is how I think my 2 year old daughter will act at the dentist too. I'm thinking of having her sit in on her brother's visit first to get used to it. I hope that helps. I wanted to pass on this Mom's Guide for caring for little ones teeth. It has helped me with great ideas on ways to keep my kids teeth cleaned the best possible way and to also make it fun. I hope you enjoy it. http://www.1dental.com/moms-guide/

  2. Cindi...I am actually a dental hygienist and work at the place I took her....Alabama Pediatric Dental Assoc. and Orthodontics in Madison, AL. Having the younger siblings come and watch the older ones works for most kids, so I would encourage it! You may be surprised how well your little one may do...sometimes they will surprise us and do great! Having your kids checked by a dentist at age 1 is what we recommend....my daughter was 19 months...so I was a little late :)

  3. Oh, she cried on her first dental visit! Well, it is inevitable for kids to fear it at first. But soon, they won't fear dental procedures because dentists today are child-friendly.
