We always enjoy getting together Christmas morning for breakfast at my parents house.  

The food is wonderful!

Christmas pj tradition

It was always a tradition in my family to open one gift Christmas Eve.  Even though we all knew what that gift was going to be, it was always exciting to get to open one gift.  Well, we have passed that tradition down to our kids.  We've done it since Luke was little....and he still gets excited!

Luke's Christmas program

Luke had a little Christmas program at school on December 11th.  They danced and sang Jingle Bells.  It was cute....Luke HATES being in the spotlight!

The flu has hit!!

Well, we didn't get to avoid the bad flu bug this year.  It got Luke (of coarse!).  Started Wednesday the hit hard Friday morning.  Yes, we are ALL on Tamiflu!

More of Buddy....

The kids have really enjoyed getting up in the mornings and finding our elf!  (Yes, I'll admit, there have been a few nights we have forgot about Buddy!!)  This has been such a fun year for the kids.  We try to soak up every minute....because before long, the magic will be gone!  BOO!!!  It's actually pretty fun for me and Cory to see the kids reactions.

 Last night, he even brought a letter back from Santa telling Luke to get well and for Allie to be sweet!

What's Buddy been up to....

The kids have really gotten into Buddy this year!  We have had fun with it as well!!

Nashville trip

Friday, we took a little trip to Nashville to do some shopping and take the kiddos to see the Christmas lights at the Opryland hotel...oh, and to see Santa.

 Allie was all excited....until she got up there....

 and she walked right off!

 The kiddos were so good while Cory and I did a little shopping, 

so they were rewarded with Build-a-Bears

 Allie also got some Repunzel hair at the Disney store.

Buddy is BACK!

Well, Buddy (our Elf on the Shelf) is back!  He came back Thanksgiving day night.  Luke has waited for this day since he left after a short visit when school started back.  He brought us a little gift...an iPad!  Whoo Hooo!!!  Go Buddy!

 Last night, he got in the pantry and scattered marshmallows all in the kitchen... 

Allie got a kick out of that!

 She was telling Buddy how big of a mess he had made!

Allie touched him this morning.  As you all know, only mommies and daddies can touch the elf.  Luke had an absolute come apart!  Yes, he balled his eyes out and was so mad at Allie!  He now is hoping Buddy gets his magic back to go back and forth to the North Pole.  So, Buddy has been chilling/resting/sleeping on the mantle ALL day.  Luke keeps the Christmas tree lights on to make him happy.  Man, this is going to be a FUN Christmas!
