look, no HAT
ever since luke was ummmm.....about 8-9 months old, he has taken a bath with "the hat" (see 1st picture). we have tried for about a year...yes an entire year, to try and get him to stop using "the hat". no luck for us. well, sly little sydney talked him out of using "the hat" last saturday. he was such a big boy having water poured over his head. guess what, no more hat for luke.

garden of hope
sydney has had the honor of being in the garden of hope at the the huntsville botanical gardens. so, saturday was the day for us to help plant ALL the flowers in her garden. if you ever get the chance to see this garden, please do. there are lots of stories of cancer survivors in the garden. can't wait for the dedication ceremony on friday!
after we helped plant the garden, we decided to hang out and check out the rest of the botanical gardens....

luke and papaw in the butterfly garden...
a weekend full of yardwork!
as some of you know, cory and i have had MAJOR issues with our yard since we've moved into our house last november. with every rain, we would get MAJOR flooding. plus, the wise guy that did our yard in the first place took about a foot or more OFF our fieldlines...
for you that live in the city, fieldlines=septic tank=poop....etc. so you can only imagine what we've gone through with this yard situation!!!
well, we've hopefully gotten it fixed. 5 truck loads of dirt!! so, friday, cory (and luke) seeded the yard. too windy for the straw....it's still in our garage. so, please pray that all this dirt (and labor, and $$$) will keep our yard from flooding!!
we also had a hand in planting the family garden on saturday. can't wait to get some fresh fruits and veggies!!
